Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  I'm doing fine!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  You are one of the current co-hosts of Blacktopia Round Table Talk Radio, could you tell us a little about the show?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  Blacktopia Round Table Talk Radio is a show produced by Some Guy Named Jay of Blacktopia, to show awareness/black empowerment, to inform and enlighten our culture and build one another one artist/poet/entrepreneur at a time.

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  You've had a lot of amazing and interesting guests, who were some of your favorite guests and why?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  The best were the poly show [with Kevin Vernell and Teresa Sims], Tracy June [The REAL Orange is The New Black where she talks about her prison experience], and an open mic session we had.  Raw may NOT be right but REAL!!  It gets a lot of attention and that was how the shows I hosted got personal with the guests, NOT superficial.

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  What has been some of your favorite show topics so far?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  All of them were informative and entertaining PLUS I think I set the stage for questions and BEING raw!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  What has been some of your least favorite show topics?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  None I made each show work, because that's what was EXPECTED!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe your other co-hosts Some Guy Named Jay and Ms. Marie Jones?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  They are the stars, I'm the "cuntry" conscious.

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe yourself as a host?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  Real "cuntry" and raw, you either accept me or you don't either way I will shine!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe yourself in general?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  Confident, self sufficient, self reliant, go getter, entrepreneur, business woman, fighter, "cuntrified"!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  A lot of new viewers may not know this, but after one of the original hosts Elizabeth the Great decided to stop doing the show, Some Guy Named Jay asked you and Tanisha J. Blanton to succeed her as the new co-hosts, then eventually Tanisha J. Blanton stepped down and her spot was filled by Ms. Marie Jones.  How do you feel about that whole transition?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  This show belongs to the viewers!!  Though they need to speak up more and because we are timed.  I try to maximize the time slot!!  It's spearheaded by Some Guy Named Jay, I've told him this in private. I saw greatness in him, and I've done what I can to help Jay promote that!!  The best I can.  (laughs) I'm a businesswoman and I go after clientele with my BEST ASSET my personality!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  In what ways do you feel that the show has changed since you became the permanent co-host?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  Not bragging but for the better!!  Like I said I set the standard for REALNESS and I know that!!  The cuntry gull they thought didn't belong on the radio!!  You don't want stagnancy or repetition in the sessions.  I brought cuntry to the table at a whole new level!!

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  What has been your worst experience on the show so far and how did you bounce back or learn from that experience?

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  The hypocrisy and phony attitude vigilante behavior INSTEAD of teamwork!!  It didn't hurt me I simply called them out, and SHOWED them WHO they were dealing with I haven't been in business for 17 years for nothing!! 

Southeast Hip Hop Magazine:  What would you like to see on Blacktopia Presents Round Table Talk Radio in the future?  

Barbara the Cuntry Cleaning Lady:  I hope to see the show soar with/without Bee.  I'm going to leave a legacy: a "CUNTRY" LEGACY ayyyeeee whoooosa.

South East Hip Hop Models: Tanisha J. Blanton of Blacktopia

Today's model spotlight is on Tanisha J. Blanton.  Tanisha is a very wise and beautiful woman.  Not only is she easy on the eyes, but easy to talk to as you can feel the warmth of her spirit bleeding through this interview.  She is also an active member of the latest South East Hip Hop Mag project, networking and discussion group "Blacktopia"!  In this interview, Tanisha talks about her experiences as a model while juggling a full time job, and role as a mother among many other things.  Read all about what this Blacktopian Beauty has to say in this one on one interview.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  Hello, how are you? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I am blessed, and doing great.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe "beauty", what is beautiful to you? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  Beauty to me is the person as a whole. Not just an outward appearance but also who that person is and what they stand for.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe your beauty? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I describe my beauty as being a spiritual beauty.  I attempt to treat others the way I would like to be treated and I just happened to be blessed with really good genes... LOL

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  How long have you been modeling? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I actually started Modeling 8 years ago at the age of 35

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  How would you describe the type of shoots, or modeling jobs you would do and take on?

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I enjoy modeling and most of the work I have done has been print work.  I have done on runway débute.  I have been a spokes model for several different car shows.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  What inspired you to get started? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  My mother was a professional model in the state of Oregon, I lost my mother at the young age of 7 years old.  So it was always a dream to follow in her footsteps.

South East Hip Hop Magazine: How did you enter the business?  

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I was invited to a modeling workshop by a friend of mine that was a photographer.  While I was there I was choose to model for a print ad.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  What has been one of the highlights of your modeling career so far? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  JMP modeling production making the top 12 for the retro Calendar.  It started out via Facebook and the top 25 were chosen, I was in the top 25.  After the top 25 were voted we had to walk a run way to make the top 12 and to be on the calendar.  The highlight was I was the only model that was in her 40's everyone else was 25 and below 

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  What has been one of the worst experiences you've faced modeling so far and how did you bounce back from it? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I can't say it was the worse experience it was life. I was offered to do a bikini calendar and found out I was pregnant with triplets all in the same week; needless to say I did not get to do the bikini shoot.

South East Hip Hop Magazine: What are your modeling plans for 2015? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I work full time as an Administrator, I'm a single parent of 6 beautiful children and I am currently in grad school.  If there was a local job that need a spokes model or maybe some print work then I would be available but right now I don't have any plans for 2015 but I always keep my options open.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  Where do you see yourself in the modeling business in the next five years?  

Tanisha J. Blanton:  In the next 5 years I hope to open my private practice and do play therapy for children.

South East Hip Hop Magazine: Do you plan on getting into acting or even in other branches of the beauty/ modeling industry? 

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I would love to do runway modeling, I have only walked the runway once in my life and it was an amazing rush and I had a great time.  I have had another opportunity to do that.

South East Hip Hop Magazine:  What advice would you give other models?  

Tanisha J. Blanton:  I would always tell models, to lead by example because there is some little girl out there looking at you and aspiring to be just like you.  ALWAYS read your contract and if you don't know what it means ask someone for clarification.  Networking can make or break your career.  Your body is your temple.  Treat it as such.
