RAW Interview with DON MODUS | IG @DonModus

This week's Southeast Hip Hop Magazine RAW INTERVIEW is with rapper / prominent businessman DON MODUS!  Follow Don Modus on IG at http://www.instagram.com/DonModus

Where are you from, and where are you now?

I grew up in Brooklyn New York until I was 19 when I moved upstate to Albany. I still go down to NYC every week to maintain relationships.

Have you ever traveled down south?  If so, what are some of the spots you've visited?  What states?

Yea I love the south. I’ve got a good section of my group down in Atlanta so I want to move out there in the next year or two. I also briefly lived in Dallas for a year when I was young but Atlanta is definitely the city for me.

Speaking of places to visit, what are your favorite vacation spots?

California, Miami, Mexico. Anywhere I can take a break from New York and lay up on the beach.

Who are some of your favorite southern rappers?

Almost all of my favorite rappers are from the south. Moneybagg yo, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Future, Playboi Carti, Key Glock

Who are some of the artists you are checking for now?

I’ve been listening to the new Rick Ross, Roddy Rich and A Boogie releases.

Have you performed anywhere in the South?

Nah not yet, I’ve shot music videos in the South but my business keeps me in the North East for the most part.

What does a performance from Don Modus look like, what can people expect to see?

I get active and use the whole stage to my advantage. I’ve brought props out at my old shows too. You’re for sure getting an energetic performance.

Could you tell the readers a little about your clothing line?

Yea sure thanks for asking. It’s a streetwear brand taking influence from high fashion. The ski mask logo represents anonymity and how it doesn’t matter what you look like underneath as long as your morals match the Collective’s.

Aside from your clothing brand, what else does Don Modus have going on?  What else can we look forward to?

Other than the music and clothing brand I’ve entered into the French Bulldog breeding scene and I’ve got an NFT collection on the way. We spent about 20 thousand on our two dogs and the female is entering heat in April. The NFT project is top secret so I can’t talk about it too much but I’ll be revealing more details next month.

Where can our readers check you out?

All my music is streamable on Spotify, apple, tidal etc. I just dropped 3 big budget videos in Atlanta and Miami on YouTube at Don Modus. And finally Instagram is the best place to keep up with me @donmodus. Thanks again for having me. Happy holidays!

Chicago’s Arabb Luciano & Rick Ross Drop Hot New Video “Don’t Understand”

Chicago’s Arabb Luciano & Rick Ross Drop Hot New Video “Don’t Understand”

There are very few artists in today’s era that really know how to grasp at catchiness in a whole new realm. Chicago’s rising star Arabb Luciano is doing just that captivating some of the most discerning music fans nationwide!
Delivering a style that really brings his charisma and melodic approach to the forefront, “Don’t Understand” is an exercise in hardcore gritty rap infused Hip Hop and unlimited swagger. This track’s lyrical structure keeps a solid flow throughout each measure and dives into authenticity, centering around his natural talent and gift of lyricism.
Crescent Music Group is the collaboration between Rick Ross’s MMG and Arabb’s label Crescent Records. Arabb is one of three founders of Crescent Records the other two co-founders are his brother Ayman Baker & his cousin Tamer Refaie who are also his managers and executive producers on the music video ‘Don’t Understand’ ft. Rick Ross.
Cresent Records has also partnered with Mobbed Up Inc and Taco Boy on current and future projects. They have been a big part of his success, the three of them put their skills together and were able to create a hit song and get the attention of Rick Ross the CEO of MMG. They had him fly out to Chicago exactly a week after hearing his song and recording his verse on it.
His magnetic appeal is fused with street cred and authentic raw talent. This is an artist with the work ethic of a seasoned industry vet, full of raw energy and talent determined to win. Maybe its the fact the city he’s from produces tough hearted individuals whose dreams exceed their expectations. Arab Luciano is certainly setting the bar highfor other artists and is predicted to become a influential force in the urban music world.
