Artist Spotlight: Aaron Reason

SPOTLIGHT: Aaron Reason
Artist: Aaron Reason

A Midwest Musician currently residing in Monroe, MI. Aaron Reason also known as A.L.J. The Reason is well known in his city for various accomplishments. As a youth Aaron was enrolled into "Peg Harris Dance Studio" where he would first try his hand at being a musician. He played the piano. This would also be the first time Aaron actually worked with a major artist. At age 13 he was part of a choir of young teens that performed on stage with Celine Dion during her run of her hit song "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic".

During high school he was starting to make the transition from classical music  to his urban roots of hip hop. Partnering up with his long time friend W.V.C. (Walter Vincent Christian) and making his first mixtape on a cassette tape. Making copies and giving them away to peers. At this time the group "Greenwoods Finest" was born which added Xavier Hall and White Ryno. Who would later be known for his work with the music group "Death 2 Reggies".

It was also around this time where Aaron would meet Jesse Blancarte who would later found "JBlancarte Managment". They would go on to making CDs such as "Reasonable Thinking" and "Secrets 2 Success". through there journey they worked with such artists as Juvenile, Slicc Pulla, Bone Crusher, Dej Lof, Rich Homie Quan,   Doughboys Cashout, Cyhi Da Prynce and many others.

In 2012 ALJ performed at the The Coast2Coast Mixtape Labor Day Weekend in Miami, FL. Hosted by Lil Fats CEO of Coast2Coast. Where he met various producers such as OG Ron C, Bosko, Jack Thriller and Rocwilder. Follow the event there was a DVD released by "Droppin Bombs Enterprise" about the steps it took to get there. Artist Spotlight: YBless

YBless was born into struggle yet decided not to the let struggle define him, but rather he chose to define the struggle. “Life is a lesson if you just listen and learn from it” states Bless. Always having a true love for music Bless began to write at the early age of ten and quickly transitioned into producing as well. Understanding the benefits of working smarter not harder Bless decided to learn from the mistakes and triumphs of others, carefully watching what the industry leaders were doing and customizing those elements to fit his mold. Bless feels his style stands on its own, that there is no one quite like him which makes him confident that his time to shine is now. With a goal to bring back the love and respect to the game, Bless intends to showcase his personal struggles for others to relate to thus creating a connection to build from. “My Struggles are not your struggles, my pain is not your pain, but the elements that create them share a common bond”. Artist Spotlight: Lazurus

Biography
To Benjamin Curtis, “Lazurus” is not simply a stage name, it defines the literal story of his life. Born March 2, 1987, baby Benjamin died on the same day. Fourteen minutes after taking what was thought to be his last breath, Benjamin came back to life—earning him the nickname “Lazurus” that has stuck with him to this day. Lazurus has kept his original birth certificate, death certificate, and second birth certificate as proof of what can only be described as a miracle.

Just as Lazurus’ entrance to this world was dramatic, so has been the live he has lived since. His wisdom extends beyond his years, but that wisdom has been earned through many widely varied life experiences. Lazurus graduated high school early, worked two jobs while putting himself through school, earned two Associate’s Degrees, worked for a top video game design company, and abandoned all that to pursue his true passion—hip hop. In pursuit of his dream, he has experienced homelessness, loss of loved ones, and all the emotions that come with those events. All of these experiences and emotions can be heard and felt through his music. Lazurus describes himself as a storyteller utilizing his generation’s method of communication, hip hop,to share these many life experiences.

Influenced by Canibus, Eminem, and OneBelo from Binary Star, Lazurus began rapping at 17. He has put out six solo albums since: Ego Trip (March 2006), Raw, Uncut, and Lactose Free (January 2008), Limerence(February 2008), Long Days and Fast Nights (September 2008), The Fusion Dance (October 2008), AlieNation (August 2010), Solstice (Dec 2012), Do It Yourself (2017). In 2005, Lazurus came together with Rsonist and together created the group Lazrso. The group has since expanded to include S. Gold, Streets and Millie Vaughn. Lazurus has performed on virtually every stage in North Carolina, as well as various venues from the Northeast to California—performing with local artists as well as big names such as Chitty Bang, Tyga, Tanya Morgan, Little Brother, Nappy Roots, Wale, Digable Planets, BOB, Trae The Truth, Wiz Kahlifa and many many more. .

Hip hop producer and Author Rory Bressler releases a book that chronicles his personal journey of cheating death and turning tragedy into triumph, "A Story of Struggle".

SYNOPSIS
Spiritual Awakening. After seeing the heaven's gates, my spiritual side of me, came from deep inside of me. Me and the Lord, came together and the fight that I've been battling, for 15 years, was finally over because I finally see the light. I knew the Word of God was true , and this is something I will never forget. I seen my self die, and come back to life. To me, it was very scary. I'd never been that scared in my whole life, and I've seen a lot happen, so I hope my story really reaches out to people who have struggled, in any type of way. All these 34 years of my life, dealing with the struggles I've been dealing with, my whole life. I've always asked my self, "Why do I have to deal with all this pain?" That's when I have to pray to the Lord, and ask Him, and He answers in His own way. Goals I have in the next five years; Goals I have, is to tell my story and reach out to 1.5 million people and change lives, see the change in peoples eyes. Become a better man, and be the best father in the world. To show the world, nothing can stop me from living, that only God can judge me. Pray to eat better and gain weight, keep going with my music. "Rory, has been doing music for 13 years, and I've had dreams of helping others, and never gave up, he wants to teach kids to never give up on there dreams, no matter what comes there way in life."
