JV: Things are going very well for hip hop as a whole right now so I'm good.

JV: It's a play on words that my nephew came up with and it stuck.

South East Hip Hop:  What inspired you to want to become an artist?
JV:  I had something to say. I wanted the world to know MY viewpoint, and maybe make some money doing it, but these days its hard.

South East Hip Hop:  How would you describe yourself as an artist?
JV: I'm a sponge, I soak up as much as I can, and then I release it to a tablet. I write by emotion therefore im an emotional artist

JV: Ga kin folk! Augusta, Atlanta, Savannah an all points in between

South East Hip Hop:   Are you familiar with a rapper/ beatmaker by the name of Mr. Boom Boom Bang?  He's located in Atlanta.  I think you would sound real good over one of his beats based on what I've heard from you.  Would you ever consider working with him?
JV: No I've never heard of buddy, but I'll research him now, and hell yes I'll work with him!  If you are on ya real grind and you are about finishing a project an pushing it I'm down to do it shawty real talk.

South East Hip Hop:  You have a hot single out right now called "The Twerk Song", for those that have yet to hear it, how would you describe this song?
JV: Its a party song girls like to shake they ass. Guys like to watch ass shake. I feel I'm doing everyone a public service! GONE TWERK IT GURL!!

South East Hip Hop: Who did you work with for this single?
JV: The beat came from Cash Jordan, it was engineered and mastered by Richie Ray of Phantom Music

South East Hip Hop: Speaking of "twerking", what do you have to say about Miley Cyrus and her "twerking" at the MTV VMAs?
JV: Apparently she has been hanging with the Mandingos, but she needs more ass than that jiggling for me to pay her some attention... We got PAWGS down here. 2 more Whopper burgers Miley then you'll be right babe.

JV: I almost died my best friend locked me in a refrigerator an ran home. I was young it was scary. I stayed calm and my grand father found me. So I learned that even if it is your best friend u cant trust anyone, an some people disappear when the heat is on.  In the end you only have you.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MODERN DAY BATTLE OF DAVID AND GOLIATH - ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC VS. ACM RECORDS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRESS CONTACT: Michael C. Luckman  (212) 995-0384
MODERN DAY BATTLE  OF DAVID AND GOLIATH: ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC VS. ACM RECORDS

ACM Records is fighting for it's name in a modern day
Battle of David and Goliath currently being played out
between the small independent record label based in New
Jersey and the Academy of Country Music, which allegedly
wants to use the title ACM Records to expand it's thriving
record business.

Despite the fact that the Academy of Country Music had
it's trademark application for the title "ACM Fan Jam"
rejected because of alleged copyright confusion
with ACM Records' existing trademark, the organization,
which is known for it's annual awards show televised on
CBS, has filed a lawsuit against ACM Records
in the Federal Count in Los Angeles, California seeking
to prevent the well respected indie music label from
continuing to do business under it's longtime corporate
name.

Founded 20 years ago by Al Cohen and Eve Adams, ACM
incorporated in 1991 and registered the company's
name in 2008.  On February 21, 2011 the United States
Patent Office rejected an application by the Academy
of Country Music for use of the title, "ACM Fan Jam,"
ruling that the name could easily be confused with
the ACM Records trademark.  Nonetheless, the Academy
of Country Music has continued to use the title,
"ACM Fan Jam," to promote live music events and in
2011 began to distribute compact discs under the name
"ACM ZinePak."

"We don't have a problem with the Academy of
Country Music using ACM as their abbreviation," said
the co-owners of ACM Records, "but we will not allow
them to infringe on our musical territory.  If
necessary we may seek an injunction to prevent the
Academy of Country Music from distributing products
that confuse the public as to their source.  The
Academy needs to practice what many of their artists
preach:  America is all about fairness for the little
guy."

ACM Records represents hundreds of recording artists
from all types of musical genres including rock, folk,
country as well as hip hop artists such as MCBEE-X,
Shif-T, Warchild, Seven, Minister Kane, and the
legendary Grandmaster Melle Mel among many others. The
label also represents songwriters, composers, and
producers that have had tunes placed on major
television network stations ranging from NBC, CBS, E!,
MTV, Discovery to FX on programs such as "Smash",
"justified", "Law and Order", "Nikitia" and
"Saturday Night Live" just to name a few, in addition
to their artists songs placed in numerous feature
films including the smash country hit, "Brokeback
Mountain: and the hip hop classic, "Paid in Full"."

So Much More Than A Recording Artist, Covan Magee Vows To Bring You Truth!

Recording Artist Covan chooses to use his talents for a greater purpose than himself. As a motivational speaker he chooses to educate and uplift people in a positive way based on his own enlightenment and experience.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Get The Word Out by Recording Artist Covan
Get The Word Out by Recording Artist Covan
PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 17, 2013 - TAMPA, Fla. -- "I'm currently engaged in many activities revolving around today's most critical issues in America. As a recording artist I choose to use my talents for a greater purpose than myself. As a motivational speaker I educate and uplift people in a positive way based on my own enlightenment and experience. I have many values all which are positive, I understand that I'm NOT perfect and never will have all the answers. Like many I have a hard knock life back story to tell, but it's not a matter of what I been through it's a matter of how I overcame it. I say 'Never forget the past, for it is a reminder for the future.'; meaning you have to fail to succeed, but should learn from mistakes to not repeat them. I hold Jesus and God close and closer each day to my heart, with truth fueling my soul." ~ Covan Magee

Covan
is looking forward to the launch of his new radio show "What do you stand for?" This show will be designed to expose the disinformation and lies fed to us every day. "What do you stand for?" will explain how the Bible and Revelations ties into the world today both culturally and politically. It will give listeners an opportunity and platform to discuss their concerns and ask questions. The show will be a perfect blend of discussions, conscious truth music and prayer. Unlike any other show Covan is not afraid to give a healthy dose of the Lord in his political discussions.

Covan Magee was born in Kings County, Brooklyn, NY and hails from Staten Island, NY. He has music in his blood, being the cousin of the legendary R & B group the Force Md's. He was formerly known as"Recording Artist Phantom" and "Phantom The Rapper." Covan had an epiphany and decided it was time for the "Rebirth" of Covan Magee and goodbye to Recording Artist Phantom. Covan is now focusing on getting serious messages to the fans in these turbulent times.

Covan is a jack of all trades but most call him a “messenger”. Covan is making a statement in the music industry, through his love of 90's music by keeping the sophisticated lyrical technique and flowing syncopations of jazz-hip hop alive in an era when commercial gangsta rap and auto tune is threatening to obliterate everything in its path. His literate, intelligent, nimbly performed rhymes and political consciousness certainly doesn't fit the fashions of the "moment," but he is determined to win a devoted audience.

Covan was discovered and currently managed by Michelle “Chella" Magee (wife) a former Warner brothers/Atlantic/Elektra records employee, currently Chairman & Publicist of Bullz Eye Entertainment Inc. Covan is also a partner and Vice President of Bullz Eye Entertainment Inc.

Releasing his 2011 single "FREEDOM" Feat. Kenya Hunter-Placido with Oscar Sanchez (Affluent Records), former Def Jam A&R rep; Rawkus Records A&R.
In 2010 backed behind two powerhouse producers “Lawrence Worrell aka L.A.W and Toma Meert aka “Toma Beats,” Covan emerged as a rising star in the digital world with “Just Another Day” produced by L.A.W. (Planet 12 Productions) & “Just Consider” produced by Toma Beats, both landing him on the critically acclaimed CBS “Studio 10 Morning Show” and the late night television show “ The Motown Maurice Show”,as well as a live performance at “The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (The Straz Center).”

In 2009, Covan's “Rookie of the Year” had been featured on popular mixtapes such as DJ Gemstarr’s “Inglorious Bastards” and DJ Whyking’s “Ghetto Muzik Vol. 2.”

In 2007 Covan's collaboration with Universal/50/50 Konvict Muzik artist “Qwes" single “Million Wayz" landed on Konvict Muzik Mixtape “On The Loose Vol. 2.”

2006, Mr. Magee decided to join the United States Army (Florida National Guard) in response to becoming a father, inspired him to write a song for the troops called "I'll Be Home One Day."

His latest single "Get The Word Out" is receiving rave reviews from top industry professionals and has landed him a spot on Warner Brothers A&R rep Lisa Castillo's roster. See what industry heavy hitters are saying about the single below:

If you are looking for something that will have you feeling good and ready for the world then this is it.

The History of Mr. Boom Boom Bang (Bio)

Mr. Boom Boom Bang, born Nigel Amaker in Philadelphia, PA. was destined to become
a rap sensation.  The triple threat known for rapping, producing and songwriting had
aspirations of being apart of the growing music industry at a very young age.  When a young
Nigel and his family moved to Atlanta, GA AK Black Hollywood in the 90s, the artist already
had a plan and vision to take his talents to the next level!

While attending high school in Georgia, Nigel formed a group known as the Flystarz with a close friend of his.  The two entered a V-103 FM talent showcase produced by
Dee Jay Greg Street in which the group Flystarz won by performing one of their earlier songs titled "Icing On My Cake".    Winning the V-103 Talent show opened many doors for the artists, creating plenty of opportunities such as catching the attention of Moses Dailey of Hearsay Records.  Moses saw the potential in Nigel, and put the rising talent in the studio to work with Alabama stationed singer Stacey Reign (now known for performing on songs with super star rap artist Flo-Rida).

After working with Stacey, Moses helped Nigel develop his sound, and improve on his song
writing skills in which Nigel used his new and improved polished talents to construct the
career changing song called "I Hit Your Girl" which lead to everyone in the studio giving him
the title of Mr. Boom Boom Bang (for "Boom Boom Banging" the ladies of course).

With Mr. Boom Boom Bang's new image, tighter flow, polished songwriting skills, and
more crisp and improved production skills, Mr. Boom Boom Bang released his first single
and music video "Fasure" which generated such a huge buzz in the streets of Atlanta that
the fans demanded more!  Mr. Boom Boom Bang supplied the fans  with what they wanted
by putting out his first mixtape The Big Bang!  The success of The Big Bang lead to his follow
up project, The Big Bang 2 hosted by popular southern mixtape, DJ and on air personality DJ Scrill.

The cosign from DJ Scrill and buzz from the mixtapes lead to more doors opening for Mr. Boom Boom Bang such as drop requests from famous DJs, a feature in Hype Magazine, performing at various venues across the south east, being featured on Coast2Coast Mixtapes and more!

After the big explosion caused by Mr. Boom Boom Bang's music and buzz, it was time to rebuild and that's exactly what the GA stationed artist did by releasing The Rebuild Mixtape in the summer of 2013!  Mr. Boom Boom Bang's 2013 anthology featured bangers such as "Listen", "Don't Trust Nobody" and "Good Ones"!

Mr. Boom Boom Bang is a multi talented recording artist that continues to create powerful music in this new generation of hip hop!

For more information, booking, drops and other requests contact Moses Dailey at 404 239 8062
